I'm playing a set at this Christian festival, Saturday 28th ISIS TAVERN, Oxford. All day event with lots of activities for all ages and many speakers. my set is 9:30pm

SUMMER TERM, WELCOME

Welcome to new students and parents this term. Please keep an eye on TUITION NEWS for more tuition updates.

GRADE EXAMS - If your child is entering this term please email me a contact if i have not already got one to keep in touch in the run up to exams. The deadline date for entry is 4th May but I would like to enter summer pupils next week. Exams are in the Music Faculty in St Aldates, Oxford 18 - 23 June, (the exact days depending on the number of applicants they have but they will be between 9am and 5pm). I am able to come to give support on the MONDAY day or WEDNESDAY afternoon, but you need to arrange when you are able to take you child. The fee for practice exam is £35, you can either pay me and I will enter your child, or pay direct.

FEES/FEEDBACK - please remember to look in the RED PRACTICE BOOK for fees due, and also notes about pieces, you can write me notes in this book and check practice ticks. Note this term is a 7 week term. Please do use this site if you need to contact me and thank you for continuing feedback!

ADULT LEARNING DATES - Cowley, Oxford 7-8pm on 23 April, 30 April, 14 May, 21 May, 28 May, 11 June, 18 June, 25 June, 2 July, 9 July. I have arranged additional 6-7pm slots for the following dates 14th May (extra beginners), 11th June (extra improvers), 9th July (extra performance).

The long road to running Reading!

Thank you so much if you have supported me raising money for ME Research UK!.. over £400!! wow! thank you :) It has been a difficult few weeks. Bruise from a football injury meant I couldn't train, and then last week an allergic reaction to a bug sick meant my foot swelled up and i had to go on antibiotics, not the best sunny experience! BBC RADIO Oxford played #leftbehind this week on their BBC INTRODUCING show! take a listen this week its about 20 mins in. Dave also kindly mentioned on air that I teach guitar!

If your child has brought home a song sheet, I've just compiled a few youtube clips on SONG WE SING. Do have a watch at home to get familiar with them! there is also a how to read a chord box video which you may find useful

Welcome back, thanks so much to people who have supported me at a gig recently! I am playing the Wheatsheaf in Oxford this Wednesday also, and the next Child friendly gig is Sat 3rd march at the magic cafe in Oxford, I have put an update on Tuition NEWS for all returning after half term. Next week I am bringing my pick punch to make some recycled plectrums!! (remember your plastic pot!)

Lastly here is a track from the forthcoming EP.. its called Left Behind, and it's the first song I've ever written on a Ukulele! enjoy

Dragons and Skeletons

work has now started on the new EP, 5 tracks in the pipeline (a mix of piano, guitar and uke).. there's also some broken drum beats to look forward to.. get your dancing shoes ready!.. I hope to have a clip to share soon so please do check back.

Adult learning classes in Oxford are now FULL :) Please do look at the tuition page if you are visiting for the first time (guitar tuning video is there under resources).
some schools are preparing for performances in following weeks, please look at the performance video to help. The more practice in front of people the better. Also this is a fun video sent to me by the head teacher at Caldecott on playing together!!.. enjoy

A few exciting developments in my musical life, Keep Singing was nominated twice for best release of 2011 at Music in Oxford and also the track You Cut We Bleed was voted 6th best track of the year at Daisy Rodgers Music Promotions thanks guys! :)

Todays gigs at The Magic Cafe, and The Pegasus Theatre cafe were great fun so thanks if you managed to come along. I am not gigging so much at the moment as work has just begun on the forthcoming EP (provisionally titled Storm).. recording again at Challow Park Studios, Wantage. Keep an eye out for updates and gig news!

Adult learning guitar classes start next Monday 16th Jan in Cowley, Oxford. They are pretty full but there may be one or two more places if you get in touch with them quick :)
